Temperature monitoring in pharmaceutical refrigerators in large facilities

Temperature monitoring in pharmaceutical refrigerators in large facilities uses both wired and wireless thermometers, with mixed installations possible.

Wired thermometers are connected to the measuring system with a two-wire cable, simultaneously supplying and transmitting measurements, which allows you to forget about battery power supply problems and the range and interference of radio transmission, but at the expense of installing the wiring of the object. The most commonly used are wired thermometers with external sensors: LB-710T (single-sensor), LB-710AT (single-sensor with display), LB-711 (eight-sensor), LB-714 (two-sensor with display).

Wired detectors are connected with data concentrators, which are also recorders and can independently signal exceeding of set alarm thresholds. The most commonly used are LB-480 and LB-490 concentrators, from which data is transmitted to the LBX Server using the Internet (Ethernet interface or GSM cellular telephony).

Wireless thermometers allow for easy installation, without installing the object wiring, but at the expense of periodic battery replacement, which requires additional operational activities. The most commonly used wireless thermometers with external sensors are: LB-523T (WiFi interface, one-sensor with display), LB-523TD (WiFi connection, one-sensor with display and door opening control), LB-533T (WiFi interface, four sensor with display and door opening control), LB-535T (EL-WAVE interface, single sensor with display).

Wireless thermometers with WiFi interface use standard WiFi access points, which makes the installation simple and cheap. Data from thermometers are transmitted directly to the LBX Server.

The LBX server in the LAB-EL monitoring manages the entire system. It collects measurement data and makes decisions about sending SMS and e-mail notifications. Measurement data can come from thermometers located in different locations, and the user can manage them freely, group them according to their needs and grant access to individual thermometers to selected users. Authorized persons have access to data through the LBX Client positions or via a web browser. The LBX client allows you to display data, charts, alarms, generate PDF reports from any period of time and configure audible, optical, SMS, e-mail and other alarms.
