HYTHEROGRAPH SENSOR SHIELDS

Hytherographs LB-701, LB-710 and LB-712 can have different sensor shields (pollution filters). Their characteristics and usage is shown in the table below.

Basket with ABS, provides basic mechanical sensor protection without protection against pollution. Does not protect from dust.

Basket with ABS, with an internal net filter made out of stainless steel or brass, protects the sensors from bigger parts of pollution matter. Does not protect from dust.

Basket with ABS with an internal net filter made out of stainless steel or brass (mechanical protection) and a liquid protection filter made out of polypropylene cloth, water resistant and stem permeable (anti dust protection).

To be used in hard conditions, serious mechanical stresses. Possible to be used only in hytherographs series LB-710 and LB-712. Very long response time, not recommended with precise measurements in quickly changing humidity or temperature conditions (because of filter big heat mass).

Time constant provides an approximate time after which hytherograph's reading is going to change for 70% of the humidity or temperature jump value, if the air flow speed surrounding the hytherograph amounts to 1 m/s.
